BOULDERING, CLIMBING, VIA FERRATA
Climbing in Pitztal
The Pitztal in Tyrol is particularly suitable for beginners or those wanting to take the step from a climbing hall to the rocks. The mountains around Pitztal are ideal for this and offer not only a very good starting point into the sport, but also an unforgettable panorama of the Tyrolean Alps. The majority of the routes and climbing gardens are in the lower category and are easily accessible. Bouldering in the “Mandlers boden” bouldering area has gained respectability since opening in 2016.
As with the sport climbing, the via ferrata in Pitztal is ideally suited to beginners. The Steinwand via ferrata is located at the valley entrance near Arzl in Pitztal. It offers two options of ascent for climbing. The Gletscherpark via ferrata near Mittelberg offers four ascent options and an amazing view of the Pitztal glacier in Tyrol.

Families are just as much at home in the climbing centre as World Cup athletes or outdoor fanatics. Lots of climbing routes, both indoors and outdoors, as well as constant route building from easy to difficult don’t allow for boredom. Beginners can attend courses and experienced climbers can train extensively. The necessary equipment (including helmet and via ferrata sets) can be hired.
